Edit video by chat

Edit your podcast video by chat

Podeo Copilot is the chat editor built into Podeo. Type the change you want, in plain words, and it runs the edit: trim the open, swap the b-roll, fix a lower-third, add a chapter, add subtitles. There are 34 editing tools behind the box. Every change previews as a diff before it lands, and any change can be undone.

Ask for the change in plain words

One chat box in front of 34 editing tools. Every edit previews as a diff before it lands, and any edit can be undone. Below is an illustration of the kinds of ask it handles.

Cut the first 40 seconds, the mic check is in there

Trims the range you point to and moves the cold open to your first real line.

Swap the intro b-roll for something calmer

Replaces the shots in that section and shows the new cut as a diff before it lands.

Add a chapter where we start talking about pricing

Searches the transcript for the topic and drops a chapter marker at that point.

Make the lower-third say Season 3, not Season 2

Updates the lower-third text on every speaker card at once.

Put Spanish subtitles on the whole thing

Adds a translated subtitle track you can toggle in the export panel.

What Podeo does today

Podeo Copilot

One box, 34 tools

Cutting, captions, b-roll, speaker cards, chapters, lower-thirds, subtitle tracks. Copilot picks the tool from what you asked for.

Diff preview

See the change before it lands

Every edit comes back as a diff against the current cut. Approve it and it applies. Reject it and nothing changed.

Undo

Roll back any edit

If an applied change is wrong, ask Copilot to undo it, or step back through the history. Nothing is destructive.

Finds the moment

Point it at content, not timecodes

"Add a chapter where we start talking about pricing." Copilot searches the transcript, finds the spot, and makes the edit there.

Timeline too

Chat and the timeline, together

Copilot sits next to a real timeline editor. Use chat for broad strokes and the timeline for a precise nudge, in the same session.

On the whole build

Works on the finished video

Copilot edits the full-episode video Podeo Director built: the same project that carries captions, b-roll, chapters, and the YouTube publish.

Questions, answered.

What can I actually ask Podeo Copilot to do?

Concrete edits, in plain language. "Cut the first 40 seconds." "Swap the intro b-roll for something calmer." "Add a chapter where we start talking about pricing." "Make the lower-third say Season 3." "Put Spanish subtitles on the whole thing." Copilot runs the matching tool and shows the result.

How is chat editing different from a normal timeline?

A timeline needs you to know where the edit points are and which control to use. With chat you describe the outcome and Copilot locates the spot and does the work. The timeline is still there when you want to place something by hand.

What if Copilot makes a change I do not like?

Every edit previews as a diff before it applies, so you can reject it outright. If it is already applied, ask Copilot to undo it or step back through the edit history.

Do I have to use chat to edit in Podeo?

No. You can export the AI build with no edits, use the timeline editor only, use Copilot only, or mix the two. Copilot is one way to work, not a required step.

Is this a separate product from the video builder?

No. Podeo Copilot is built into the same editor that opens after Podeo Director builds your episode video. It edits that project directly.
